FOX CREEK LEATHER Embroidered Motorcycle Jacket

submitted by FrogBiker

I loved my Fox Creek Leather Ladies Fitted motorcycle jacket but when I sold my motorcycle, I sold the jacket. Fast forward a couple of years and I'm back riding and the search begins for a new jacket. My weight has changed as has the figure associated with it.

The first jacket I tried was from Harley-Davidson...the leather was just too thin for much warmth or protection. The next jacket I tried was just too long for my "rounder" figure and I returned it.

Then my Fox Creek Leather Embroidered jacket arrived. Heavyweight, feature packed, functional but very stylish. What more could you ask for? Many of today's ladies leather jackets are designed to LOOK good but they offer minimal functionality for a rider and even less protection from the elements or, worst case, the road.

Here are the features from their website:

  • Made from 1.2-1.4mm Soft, Buttery Naked Leather.
  • Mesh liner with front and rear venting provides cooling airflow.
  • Tasteful embroidery trim on front, back and sleeves in a choice of 4 colors
  • Two inside pockets: Right with a snap closure, Left with a zipper closure.
  • Zipper sides expand.
  • Removable full sleeve Thinsulate® liner provides all season riding comfort.
  • Antique Nickel YKK Hardware.

Here are some of the features they don't mention:

  • The full sleeve liner has the most amazing fleece neck wrap attached (detachable) for those really cold days.
  • The mandarin stand-up collar reduces bulk around the neckline, great for someone with a shorter neck.
  • Zippers over the hips...I wear them down when walking and unzip a bit on the bike to keep the jacket shoulders where they belong.
  • The embroidery is much prettier than it appears on the website. I was really impressed with the quality. They even have it on showing the cold weather flap under the main zipper!
  • The jacket comes with pink, white, purple or red embroidery.

I think I have found my perfect jacket...I've worn it while riding on the back of my husband's trike as well as when riding my own two wheels. The only suggestion I would make to Fox Creek Leather is to add leather pull tabs to the zippers...they hide so well that I can't get hold of them easily when wearing gloves. LOL!!

NOTE: UPDATE - Three years later and this jacket shows no signs of wear. It is still my favorite riding jacket. Pretty AND comfortable as well as top quality.

Thanks to FrogBiker for submitting this personal review. Froggi has been riding since 2002, but it seems like only yesterday she was learning. Her current ride is a 2011 HD® SuperLow Sportster.
